Gynecological Care
At Ventana Wellness, we are committed to providing the highest quality and most advanced health care to women of all ages. From adolescence through postmenopause and all the years in between, women receive comprehensive care from our high-quality providers and programs.
Our medical providers offer general gynecologic care focusing on routine prevention measures including Pap smears, breast exams, mammography, contraceptive counseling, and other gynecologic screenings. But they also go beyond routine care and prevention to specialize in the following areas:
Adolescent gynecology focuses on the unique gynecologic issues of teens, including menstrual irregularities, delayed first period, pelvic pain, and hormone-related conditions such as acne, painful periods, weight gain, and depression. Lab tests help to identify specific underlying causes of disorders. |
Perimenopause and menopause services include physical exams, nutrition, hormone, and exercise therapy, support groups, and individual counseling. We provide extensive testing to determine a woman’s hormone levels and identify possible hormone imbalances that could be causing unpleasant symptoms.
Postmenopause services include all of the evaluations, nutrition education, and testing supplied to younger women, but with special attention to cardiac and bone health. Natural bioidentical hormones and dietary supplements can be helpful when appropriate. |
Premenstrual syndrome evaluation and treatment services include medical treatment, supportive counseling, nutrition education, specific and detailed hormone testing, and, when indicated, intervention with natural bioidentical hormones and alternative supplements. |
