Joel KleinJoel Klein, MD, Having received his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1981, Dr. Klein, practiced Family Medicine in a “conventional” setting for 15 years, 10 in Annapolis, MD and 5 in Colorado Springs, CO. All the while, he knew and experienced for himself the value of alternative and holistic therapies and, incorporated them into his treatment plans whenever possible. Desiring to devote more of his time to Holistic Medicine, Dr. Klein left his conventional practice in November, 2000 and opened “The Klein Center for Holistic Medicine” in Colorado Springs. For over a decade, he treated area patients incorporating nutritional, herbal, and homeopathic strategies, into his primary care practice, to complement and minimize the need for conventional medical therapies alone. Then a few years ago a learning opportunity brought him for a visit to Southern Oregon, where he fell in love with the area!

Trading the Rockies for the Cascades, Dr. Klein has now settled in this region, and is the newest member of our VW staff of medical professionals. Relying on an integrated, patient proven approach, Dr. Klein successfully treats many conditions like low thyroid, fatigue, stress, adrenal issues, hormone imbalances, weight gain, and more- conditions that, if left untreated, could lead to more serious illness. In addition, the same strategies can be successfully employed for those with more serious conditions, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and many chronic inflammatory diseases, to lessen and even eliminate the need for medication and improve quality of life.

If you’re looking to partner with a Medical Doctor, whose background goes beyond that of a “routine” family or general practitioner- Dr. Klein wants to meet you..

Carl OsbornCarl Osborn, DO, PC, has specialized in treating patients suffering from acute and chronic pain since 1985. He combines traditional and alternative methods to achieve the best possible results. Dr. Osborn is known internationally as a prolotherapy instructor, is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management, and a member of the board of directors for the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine. He is also a member of the International Spine Intervention Society and is board certified in family practice.

Once hormones are properly balanced, men report less fatigue, increased libido, increased energy, and increased strength and endurance.

"Health is more than just the absence of disease. It is the opportunity to live a life free of pain, and to fully enjoy all that life has to offer. My goal in treatment is to provide each person that freedom."

Dr. Osborn has been selected as president of the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM) effective May 1, 2008. The AAOM is a worldwide not-for-profit organization, which provides information and educational programs as well as teaches and trains comprehensive nonsurgical treatment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal problems. Linda MinerLinda Miner, LMT, Linda’s passion for physical fitness started at an early age as she discovered the many physical and emotional benefits associated with this type of life style. Even though her original career path was taking her up the corporate ladder, Linda continued to retain her ties within the fitness realm, excelling as a body builder, runner, aerobics teacher, personal trainer, weight management consultant and at the age of 40 a USTA tennis player.

Today, Linda has chosen to follow her heart and jumped back into the world of nutrition and fitness full time, continuing to further her education, having added Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner, a quick and easy tapping process used to release painful emotions, to her already long list of specialties.

But even this fitness guru could not avoid what was about to happen next. At the age of 44, after the birth of her last child, Linda ended up with a significant weight problem.  Instead of getting back on track and putting her knowledge to work to lose the weight- she became completely sedentary using food as her substance of choice to calm, relax, avoid, and comfort the anxiety, fear, guilt and shame that had overwhelmed her. It took some time, but she is happy to say that food is no longer in the driver’s seat. And she can do the same for you!

If you’re ready to take back control and become a healthier and happier you, let Linda become your trusted guide. She’ll customize a plan that will best suit your lifestyle, likes and dislikes, developing a strategy for success, by addressing your personal struggles and challenges. Whether it’s dumping your inner “baggage” or changing-up your response to stress by applying EFT, or learning how to better make healthier diet and lifestyle choices, Linda will use her vast realm of expertise to equip you with the tools and encouragement needed to once and for all reach your weight loss and wellness goals.

Anna Marie LabertsonAnna Marie Lambertson, MD is a graduate of the Loma Linda School of Medicine and has long believed and practiced its motto of “Making the Whole Man Whole.” She began her medical training in Internal Medicine only to become disillusioned with the number of health problems that could have been prevented and now were maintained by medication alone. This led to her interest in preventive medicine and she is board certified in preventive medicine and public health with a Masters of Public Health in Health Education and Health promotion.

She developed an interest in mind body medicine, a factor that she felt was being left out of conventional medical treatment. She discovered that emotions and belief systems had a tremendous impact on the well-being of an individual and became trained in a system that released emotions stored in the body that impacted health. This technique is referred to as neuroemotional technique.

Dr. Lambertson has extensive and wide training in both conventional and integrative medicine and seeks to utilize those treatments that best suit the patient she is working with whether conventional or integrative. She has worked with a national healthcare system in New Zealand as well as a government system in the prison system in Indiana. She has enjoyed every aspect of medical experience that she has been exposed to and learned from each one.

Her former private practice dealt with individuals that had “failed” the conventional system since they felt unwell but there was “nothing wrong with them”. Her favorite approach is homeopathy, an individualized therapy that is tailored to the uniqueness of each person. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of the various organ systems of the body and how emotions can affect each one of these. Its focus is on correcting disease rather than simply treating it, and nutritional evaluation in conjunction with this is of great benefit. She loves walking with her patients through their healing journeys and is pleased to be a member of Ventana Wellness, whose goal is to provide the best healthcare available using a variety of treatments that fit each individual.
